Rental Vehicle Recall Bill Re-introduced to Congress

The Detroit Bureau - May 6, 2015

A bill has been re-introduced in both the US House and Senate designed to prevent rental firms and dealers from renting vehicles with unrepaired defects to consumers. This comes up after a year of record automotive safety recalls; advocates in Washington are hoping lawmakers will finally pass the long-stalled legislation. A similar bill died at the end of the last session of Congress with much of the resistance coming from dealers.
