Experian Automotive Releases Vehicle Ownership Numbers

A lit­tle more than half of 247.9M vehi­cles on US roads dur­ing Q2 of this year came from 2000 to 2008 mod­el years, said Exper­ian Auto­mo­tive. That was up from 246.2M in Q2 of 2012, accord­ing to Experian’s Auto­mo­tive Mar­ket Trends and Reg­is­tra­tions webi­nar chat. Con­sumers are own­ing their vehi­cles and aver­age of 76.3 months and the aver­age vehi­cle age was 10.9 years old dur­ing that quar­ter.
