General Motors Co. said Tuesday its March sales rose 6.4 percent to 245,950 vehicles, its best March sales total in five years.
Ford Motor Co. said sales in March rose 5.7 percent to 236,160, led by sales of the Fusion midsize sedan and Escape SUV.
Nissan North America Inc. said its March U.S. sales totaled 137,726, marking its best monthly sales month ever. They were up 1 percent over March 2012.
