After a small revi­sion that didn’t sig­nif­i­cant­ly change the data pat­ter, auc­tion vol­ume was about flat with last year in the first six months of this year, after a 7% decline in 2011.

Auc­tion Vol­ume Fore­cast for 2012:
NAAA antic­i­pates a firm­ing in the sec­ond half for a slight annu­al increase in vol­ume for the full year.

Auc­tion Prices are Down Slight­ly:
First quar­ter aver­age auc­tion prices con­tin­ued slight­ly down from last year.

Used Retail Sales Fore­cast for this Year and Next with Antic­i­pat­ed Growth:
Expect used retail sales to increase about 4% this year to over 40 mil­lion, and 5% next year to over 42 mil­lion.
