Driving Season ‘Up’ – Fuel Prices Down?

We expect­ed $4 or $5 a gal­lon fuel prices this sum­mer, and many ran out to buy more fuel-effi­cient cars. The nation­al aver­age was $3.65 a gal­lon on Memo­r­i­al Day week­end, and of course we’re grate­ful, but the fac­tors that forged the fore­cast are still out there – surge for gaso­line in Chi­na and India, tum­bling Euro­pean econ­o­my, U.S. recov­ery slow­er than expect­ed. Hang in there, sum­mer isn’t over yet!
