With tight inven­to­ries at many Japan­ese brand deal­er­ships, the parts depart­ment helped pick up the slack by sell­ing floor mats, wheels and tint­ed win­dows. Experts say acces­so­ry sales were up by 30% and helped boost the per-vehi­cle aver­age.
