Nissan’s Infiniti Aims to Beat Toyota, Lexus in Hybrid-Electric Vehicle Technology

Lux­u­ry brand Infini­ti will play an impor­tant role for par­ent com­pa­ny Nis­san to take a lead­ing role in hybrid-elec­tric vehi­cles after dis­ap­point­ing results from its Nis­san Alti­ma Hybrid. The new HEV will also be the first Nis­san hybrid devel­oped entire­ly in-house and not on tech­nol­o­gy licens­es from crosstown rival Toy­ota and used in Toy­ota and Lexus HEVs.
