Experts Say No Copper-Core Spark Plugs with Distributorless Ignitions

Autolite engineers say backyard mechanics and some technicians may use copper-core spark plugs on distributorless ignition systems (DIS). They say the plugs may work well in the beginning but are not suitable for DIS needs and are likely to fail prematurely. They recommend using double platinum or iridium-enhanced plugs.
