Toyota Dealers Going ‘Green’


By 2011, Toy­ota expects to have almost 10% of its U.S. deal­ers par­tic­i­pat­ing in “green” pro­grams with its vehi­cles and oper­a­tions. Toy­ota has already drawn up a pro­to­type store design deal­ers can fol­low to auto­mat­i­cal­ly gain envi­ron­men­tal­ly-friend­ly cer­ti­fi­ca­tions. Oth­er auto man­u­fac­tur­ers, such as GM, are also talk­ing to their deal­ers about envi­ron­men­tal­ly-friend­ly makeovers.
