Ad Debut at Ford for Farley

Ford’s new Chief Mar­ket­ing Offi­cer, Jim Far­ley, was hired from Toy­ota last fall. After mak­ing changes to his staff and talk­ing with deal­ers, he is ready to launch his first adver­tis­ing cam­paign. Set to debut on “Amer­i­can Idol,” the ads will fea­ture Ford employ­ees with the new tagline: “Ford. Dri­ve One.” The goal is to end the mar­ket share slide and con­vince con­sumers to con­sid­er Ford when shop­ping for a new car or truck — a dif­fi­cult task accord­ing to many ana­lysts.
