In keeping with its go-to-market strategy, General Motors is significantly reducing sales to daily rental companies by as much as 25% over 2006 levels. Its goal is to improve residual values and reduce per-vehicle incentives. In 2006 GM sold 700,327 daily rental units and plans to sell 596,000 in 2007.
