GM Ups Incentives on SUVs, Ford F-150 Gets Dealer Cash Spiff


With unsold vehi­cles run­ning far above nor­mal, Gen­er­al Motors Corp. raised its cash incen­tives on many mid-to-full-sized sport util­i­ty vehi­cles by $500 to $4,000. Mod­els include the Trail­Blaz­er, Sub­ur­ban, Yukon and Yukon XL. Ford Motor Com­pa­ny announced its plan to pay deal­ers up to $1,500 for each F-150 sold in May. The automak­er wants to beat its record of 911,597 F-Series trucks sold in 2001.
