Manheim Appoints Julie Picard General Manager, VP of Manheim Pennsylvania

Man­heim announced that Julie Picard, mar­ket vice pres­i­dent of Manheim’s Pacif­ic Mar­ket has been named gen­er­al man­ag­er and vice pres­i­dent of Man­heim Penn­syl­va­nia.  Picard replaces Tim Van Dam who was named mar­ket vice pres­i­dent of Manheim’s North­east Mar­ket ear­li­er this year. Picard reports to Van Dam and began her role on Jan. 1, 2014.

“Julie’s remar­ket­ing exper­tise and busi­ness skills, cou­pled with a record of deliv­er­ing results in var­i­ous lead­er­ship roles at Man­heim made her the right fit for this key role,” said Van Dam.  “Her expe­ri­ence in run­ning var­i­ous auc­tion loca­tions, build­ing diverse cus­tomer rela­tion­ships and chal­leng­ing her teams to con­tin­u­ous­ly excel, posi­tions her to effec­tive­ly lead our pre­mier auc­tion oper­a­tion into the future.”

In addi­tion to being a ded­i­cat­ed busi­ness pro­fes­sion­al, Picard is also a com­mit­ted indus­try leader.  Most recent­ly, she was hon­ored as one of Auto Remarketing’s “2013 Women in Remar­ket­ing,” and was also the recip­i­ent of the pres­ti­gious 2013 Lau­rie Dob­ber­phul Top Achiev­er Award, pre­sent­ed by GE Remar­ket­ing. Both awards spot­light women who con­tin­u­ous­ly make a dif­fer­ence and are pas­sion­ate about the auto­mo­bile indus­try.

Picard grad­u­at­ed with a bachelor’s degree in account­ing from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Mon­tana.
