Alison Vanderhoof Joins WEX as SVP, General Manager for Emerging Markets

Ali­son Van­der­hoof has joined WEX as senior vice pres­i­dent, gen­er­al man­ag­er for emerg­ing mar­kets. Van­der­hoof will over­see the busi­ness per­for­mance of WEX’s trav­el, health­care and employ­ee ben­e­fits busi­ness­es glob­al­ly.

“Ali­son brings more than 15 years of expe­ri­ence man­ag­ing cor­po­rate strat­e­gy, part­ner­ships and cross-func­tion­al teams at high growth busi­ness­es, and she is well suit­ed to over­see our expand­ing emerg­ing mar­kets,” said Melis­sa D. Smith, pres­i­dent of WEX. “Togeth­er with the WEX senior lead­er­ship team, she will be instru­men­tal to achiev­ing con­tin­ued strate­gic growth in these mar­kets.”

Pri­or to join­ing WEX, Van­der­hoof held sev­er­al senior lead­er­ship posi­tions at Vistaprint, includ­ing, most recent­ly, man­ag­ing vice pres­i­dent of Vistaprint’s B2B unit, where she estab­lished a proven track record of accel­er­at­ing growth and devel­op­ing part­ner­ships. Van­der­hoof also served in senior posi­tions at NAVTEQ, where she man­aged glob­al cross-func­tion­al teams and was instru­men­tal in build­ing its cor­po­rate devel­op­ment strat­e­gy and func­tion.
