This sem­i­nar – offered in Feb­ru­ary, July and Octo­ber — teach­es begin­ners the build­ing blocks need­ed to oper­ate an effi­cient fleet. Atten­dees will learn the fun­da­men­tal prin­ci­ples and prac­tices of suc­cess­ful fleet man­age­ment, and have a great oppor­tu­ni­ty to meet oth­er fleet pro­fes­sion­als face-to-face.

NAFA Mas­ters’ Sem­i­nar
Feb­ru­ary 21–23, San Diego, CA

The new Mas­ters’ Sem­i­nar allows fleet pro­fes­sion­als with more than five years’ expe­ri­ence to apply the knowl­edge gained through the CAFM/CAFS pro­grams or prac­ti­cal expe­ri­ence, in a series of prac­ti­cal exer­cis­es. The exer­cis­es used will vary depend­ing on the com­po­si­tion of the course atten­dees. Each exer­cise is designed to allow can­di­dates to work through com­mon fleet sit­u­a­tions and get feed­back and input from oth­er pro­fes­sion­als.

Green Truck Sum­mit

The Green Truck Sum­mit offers real-world ideas and solu­tions for select­ing and imple­ment­ing advanced vehi­cle tech­nolo­gies and alter­na­tive fuels. It fea­tures pre­sen­ta­tions from tech­ni­cal experts, gov­ern­ment offi­cials, indus­try lead­ers and ear­ly-adopter fleet man­agers. The Sum­mit pre­cedes the Work Truck Show.

The Work Truck Show 2014

Alter­na­tive Clean Trans­porta­tion (ACT) EXPO 2014

NAFA’s Inter­na­tion­al Fleet Acad­e­my
July 13–15, Orlan­do, FL

The third Inter­na­tion­al Fleet Acad­e­my in Tuc­son last Octo­ber was an over­flow suc­cess as fleet man­agers from all over the globe shared ideas, learned from each oth­er and net­worked. The focus is on crit­i­cal issues impact­ing glob­al fleets and ideas on how to cre­ate a har­mo­nized glob­al fleet.

The Fleet Safe­ty Con­fer­ence is designed for fleet, risk, safe­ty, sales, human resources, and EHS pro­fes­sion­als It offers tar­get­ed edu­ca­tion to improve the safe­ty of all vehi­cle and light- to heavy-duty truck fleets.

AFLA 2014 Annu­al Con­fer­ence
Sep­tem­ber 7–10, Las Vegas, NV

AFLA has emerged as a dynam­ic orga­ni­za­tion that pro­motes growth, expan­sion and pro­fes­sion­al­ism with­in the fleet indus­try by pro­vid­ing edu­ca­tion, research, tech­ni­cal stan­dards, rep­re­sen­ta­tion and advance­ment of mem­ber inter­ests. It is a key meet­ing place for OEMS, fleet leas­ing com­pa­nies, fleet man­agers and top ven­dors.

2014 ALTCAR Expo & Con­fer­ence
Sep­tem­ber 19–20, San Diego, CA

As it has since 2005, Alt­Car offers the lat­est in offer­ings from auto­mo­tive OEMs and com­pa­nies large and small who are eager to offer improved alter­na­tive to exist­ing fuels and trans­porta­tion. These include hybrid vehi­cles as well as alter­na­tive fuels: propane, nat­ur­al gas and bio diesel. Alt­Car claims that it offers the largest col­lec­tion of these var­i­ous vehi­cles and tech­nolo­gies in one place.

2014 State Fleet Man­agers Work­shop
Octo­ber — Date and Loca­tion TBA

NCSFA’s held its first fleet man­age­ment work­shop in 2013. Nine­teen state fleets were rep­re­sent­ed as well as six uni­ver­si­ty fleets, and sev­er­al munic­i­pal fleets. Top­ics includ­ed trav­el opti­miza­tion, GPS, risk man­age­ment, imple­ment­ing CNG and fleet right­siz­ing and vehi­cle replace­ment sched­ul­ing. These and oth­er top­ics will be cov­ered in the 2014 Work­shop.

2014 Nation­al Remar­ket­ing Con­fer­ence
Novem­ber 13–15, San Diego, CA

NRC pro­vides the infor­ma­tion and tools nec­es­sary spur inno­va­tion and growth in the remar­ket­ing indus­try: Big ideas, mar­ket insights and in-depth pre­sen­ta­tions and con­ver­sa­tions.
