Fleets & Fuels - September 16, 2013

The California Energy Commission is supporting development of a plug-in hybrid electric class five work truck by PG&E and Electric Vehicles International (EVI). The REEV (Range-Extended Electric Vehicle) utility truck is to have an all-electric range of 45 miles. PG&E forecasts that it would save $3 million annually in fuel costs and reduce carbon emissions by over 19 million if all of its class five work trucks were replaced with the REEV.
