Hyundai has been the most aggres­sive automak­er recent­ly to excel in the telem­at­ics space with its Bluelink pro­gram, fol­lowed close­ly by GM with OnStar and its planned long-term evo­lu­tion (LTE) solu­tion, accord­ing to Frost & Sul­li­van. GM has seen strong results through its OnStar ser­vice with a 40% reten­tion rate that has added almost 35% net rev­enue to its mar­gins year on year. Toy­ota is also see­ing strong results with its Toy­ota Friend fea­ture in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Salesforce.com.
