The NHTSA are deter­min­ing whether almost 400,00 Gen­er­al Motors vehi­cles should be includ­ed to two recalls of about 7,000 cars because of an airbag defect. The scope of the ban cur­rent­ly includes var­i­ous GM mod­els. The NHTSA said GM may not have pin­point­ed the cause of the prob­lem, so it will see if the recall needs expan­sion.
