The NHTSA are deter­min­ing whether almost 400,00 Gen­eral Motors vehi­cles should be included to two recalls of about 7,000 cars because of an airbag defect. The scope of the ban cur­rently includes var­i­ous GM mod­els. The NHTSA said GM may not have pin­pointed the cause of the prob­lem, so it will see if the recall needs expansion.
