Proposition to Require Same-Day Federal Reports of Driver Medical Results

If cer­tain leg­is­la­tion passes, med­ical pro­fes­sion­als would be man­dated to report results of phys­i­cal exam­i­na­tions of com­mer­cial dri­vers to the fed­eral gov­ern­ment. Last week’s Fed­eral Motor Car­rier Safety Admin­is­tra­tion pro­posal would also put an end to dri­vers bring­ing their med­ical cer­tifi­cates to their employ­ers and to state licens­ing agencies.
