AutoTrader Working Now with Experian on Vehicle History Reports

As Car­fax and its own­er RL Polk deal with a law­suit by 120 deal­ers, there are changes going on in the mar­ket­place. Auto­Trad­er just announced that it has part­nered with Exper­ian Auto­mo­tive for vehi­cle his­to­ry reports on list­ings.

This was done to enable deal­ers to uti­lize Exper­ian Automotive’s AutoCheck vehi­cle his­to­ry reports when mer­chan­dis­ing their inven­to­ry on Begin­ning in Sep­tem­ber, deal­ers who sub­scribe to AutoCheck will have the option of uti­liz­ing those vehi­cle his­to­ry reports on the site. This non-exclu­sive part­ner­ship is a step designed to facil­i­tate choice for’s deal­er cus­tomers and allow oth­er vehi­cle his­to­ry report providers to work with in a sim­i­lar man­ner Auto­Trad­er said.

“Our deal­er cus­tomers have clear­ly expressed a desire to have more free­dom in decid­ing which vehi­cle his­to­ry reports they would like to use to mer­chan­dise their inven­to­ry on our site, and our goal with this part­ner­ship is to make that choice a real­i­ty,” said Alan Smith, chief oper­at­ing offi­cer at
