Trucking Industry Gearing to Increase Its Use of Natural Gas

The truck­ing indus­try is begin­ning to take a step for­ward and use nat­ur­al gas to haul its goods from place to place. Nat­ur­al gas has held its own against oth­ers in the Amer­i­can ener­gy indus­try, includ­ing coal, bring­ing con­sumers cheap­er elec­tric­i­ty. Com­pa­nies such as Cum­mins, Proc­tor & Gam­ble, and oth­ers are begin­ning to use new, large engines that make long runs on nat­ur­al gas pos­si­ble.
