Incentives Were Down But Sales Up on Fuel Efficient Vehicles

High gasoline prices helped dealers sell more fuel efficient vehicles in February, even though incentives on these vehicles were down. According to Edmunds.com, incentive spending on hybrid vehicles was down almost 12% from January to February, hitting its lowest average level since July of last year. Incentives on compact cars were down 2% from January to their lowest level since October.
