House Approves Budget Cut for NHTSA Highway Safety Projects

The U.S. House on March 6 approved a bill that funds government operations until Sept. 30, but cuts almost $50 million from highway safety resources. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s grants for seat belt, distracted driving, motorcycle safety and drunk driving crackdowns will be cut from the current funding bill.
