House Approves Budget Cut for NHTSA Highway Safety Projects

The U.S. House on March 6 approved a bill that funds gov­ern­ment oper­a­tions until Sept. 30, but cuts almost $50 mil­lion from high­way safety resources. The National High­way Traf­fic Safety Administration’s grants for seat belt, dis­tracted dri­ving, motor­cy­cle safety and drunk dri­ving crack­downs will be cut from the cur­rent fund­ing bill.
