Ethanol Credits May Raise Gasoline Prices Further

Ethanol in the US gasoline supply is raising prices at the pump and could widen the price gap between regular and premium gasoline, according to analysts. In an effort to meet federal renewable fuel standards, refiners have been trading ethanol credits in, raising credit prices recently. The prices for these credits have bounded from pennies per credit to over $1.
