Ethanol in the US gaso­line sup­ply is rais­ing prices at the pump and could widen the price gap between reg­u­lar and pre­mium gaso­line, accord­ing to ana­lysts. In an effort to meet fed­eral renew­able fuel stan­dards, refin­ers have been trad­ing ethanol cred­its in, rais­ing credit prices recently. The prices for these cred­its have bounded from pen­nies per credit to over $1.
