Mayor Bloomberg Issues Big Goal for Public Charging in NYC

New York Times - February 14, 2013

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg called for something very big for his city – over the next seven years, he’d like to see 10,000 public parking spots built and 2,000 of them would have electric vehicle public charging stations. There are only 100 public charging stations in the city now and 120 stations being used by the city’s fleet electric vehicles. The mayor put out this request during his 12th and final State of the City address.
