GM pow­er­train spokesman Dan Flo­res con­firmed that Gen­eral Motors and Ford are sign­ing an MOU (mem­o­ran­dum of under­stand­ing) to “develop a vari­ety of all-new fuel-efficient trans­mis­sions.” The com­pa­nies are still in dis­cus­sions, and an offi­cial press release is expected soon.
