GM pow­er­train spokesman Dan Flo­res con­firmed that Gen­er­al Motors and Ford are sign­ing an MOU (mem­o­ran­dum of under­stand­ing) to “devel­op a vari­ety of all-new fuel-effi­cient trans­mis­sions.” The com­pa­nies are still in dis­cus­sions, and an offi­cial press release is expect­ed soon.
