The January/February 2013 issue of FLEETSolutions magazine bridges the gap between print, online, and live-action video – and offers a great way to use multimedia resources to promote the upcoming NAFA conference. The new issue of the NAFA Fleet Management Association publication features a “trick cover,” which shows a van with its vehicle wrap being stripped. When readers open the cover they are presented with the van fully wrapped in its new look, promoting NAFA’s 2013 Institute & Expo and a QR code that links to a YouTube video showing a real van having its vehicle wrap replaced by a new one. The video, produced by NAFA affiliate Associated Graphics, Inc., of Plain City, Ohio, begins with a look at the print magazine as the pages turn until the article on vehicle wraps is reached. At that point, the camera reveals the real van and the initial removal of the original wrap. This was the first time NAFA had ever tried combining print, online, and video within an article, and it won’t be the last. Click here to see how it all works on YouTube.
