General Motors plans to reveal its redesigned Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra full-size pickups.
The public will get to see the vehicles in person for the first time on December 13 at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
The highly anticipated new trucks are central to GM’s profitability in North America.
The Silverado 1500, which hasn’t been redesigned since 2006, is easily GM’s best-selling vehicle in the U.S. at 298,200 units in the first nine months of the year.
The pickup competes against Ford’s F-150 series and Chrysler Group’s Ram pickup.
