Automakers Counting on Brazil Auto Show for Market Growth

The Sao Paulo auto show is more impor­tant this year to automak­ers as Europe’s econ­o­my sags and China’s slows down. The show opens this week in Brazil with glob­al debuts and first-class dis­plays from Gen­er­al Motors, Volk­swa­gen, Toy­ota, Ford, Nis­san, Hon­da, Fiat, Hyundai, and sev­er­al Chi­nese brands. Automak­ers are invest­ing heav­i­ly in Brazil and oth­er South Amer­i­can mar­kets.
