The Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro have been head-to-head rivals for decades. Last year, Camaro took a commanding lead. Then Ford re-designed the 2013 Mustang with a new engine and other features.
Dodge Challenger is also in the race. Guess which one is out front as of the July!
So last month, Mustang managed to outsell its archrival by 7,371 to 6,926, according to Autodata.
For the first seven months of the year, Camaro holds the narrowest of leads. It’s only 628 cars ahead of the Mustang in sales after 56,623 sold so far this year. That’s only about a 1% sales difference.
Dodge Challenger is way behind and in need of a refresh, selling 3,631 Challengers for the month of July.
