Ford Hopes ‘Safety’ and ‘Fusion’ Go Together

In 1957, Ford said “Safety doesn’t sell.” Today, Ford is counting on an array of advanced safety gear to help sell the 2013 Fusion sedan.

A full suite of safety features is being made available on the 2013 Fusion. The menu will include a Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning with brake support, Lane-Keeping System with Driver Alert System, Active park assist, and a rear-view camera system.

The 2013 Ford Fusion will also get an updated version of the high-tech Sync system, which has been tailored in response to customer criticism to include knobs for key controls — something less likely to result in driver distraction.
