Windshields: Repair or Replace?

You’re cruising along on the freeway and suddenly a rock flies up from under another vehicle’s tire. In an instant, there’s a permanent mar on your windshield that distracts you for the rest of your trip.

A new windshield would set you back roughly $400 or $500, not including labor, and would be prone t vs o leaks if there’s a bad seal. But there are services that can repair the nick with a resin that fills the crack and keeps it from growing—as long as the crack is smaller than a dollar bill.
