Automakers Post Better-Than-Expected June Sales

GM reports 248,750 vehi­cles sold in June, up 16 per­cent com­pared to the same month a year ago, and Ford sales rose 7 per­cent in June to 207,759 units. Toy­ota Motor Sales report­ed month­ly sales of 177,795 units, up 60.3 per­cent from June 2011 and Nis­san Motor Co. sales up 28.2 per­cent to 92,237 and Volk­swa­gen of Amer­i­ca sales up 34.2 per­cent to 38,170 units.
