Chrysler Says 2013 Ram 1500 Will Offer Mileage Advantage Over Competition

Auto Trends - April 8, 2012

Full-size pickups remain popular with consumers despite rising fuel prices. Chrysler is looking for increased sales with its improved 2013 Ram 1500 that includes its 3.8 liter standard Pentastar V-6 engine, boosting horsepower by more than 40 percent and torque by 13 percent. Fuel economy is expected to increase by at least 20 percent as Chrysler pairs this 305 horsepower engine with a standard ZF-supplied 8-speed automatic transmission. Ram has not announced pricing for its 2013 model trucks.
