Ford Agrees to 1.2 Million Unit Recall of Popular F-150 Pickups

Ford is increas­ing its recall of the pop­u­lar F-150 pick­up from 150,000 in Feb­ru­ary to near­ly 1.2 mil­lion units cov­er­ing mod­el years 2004 through 2006. An elec­tri­cal short in the steer­ing wheel air bag can cause unex­pect­ed deploy­ment, some­times injur­ing dri­vers. The deci­sion fol­lows pres­sure from NHTSA dur­ing the past year to recall all of the trucks.
