Ford fund­ed a study by Vir­ginia Tech Trans­porta­tion Insti­tute which found voice com­mand phone and enter­tain­ment sys­tems like Sync are 2.5–10 times less like­ly to divert dri­vers’ eyes from the road than man­u­al con­trol use.
