A new study from Maritz Auto­mo­tive Research Group sug­gests the Cash for Clunk­ers pro­gram spurred more incre­men­tal sales than pre­vi­ous­ly thought. The con­clu­sion helps debunk the the­o­ry that C4C took away future sales. Accord­ing to the study, 31% of July-August 2009 car buy­ers made a pur­chase specif­i­cal­ly because of Cash for Clunk­ers.
