GM Ups Incentives on SUVs, Ford F-150 Gets Dealer Cash Spiff

With unsold vehicles running far above normal, General Motors Corp. raised its cash incentives on many mid-to-full-sized sport utility vehicles by $500 to $4,000. Models include the TrailBlazer, Suburban, Yukon and Yukon XL. Ford Motor Company announced its plan to pay dealers up to $1,500 for each F-150 sold in May. The automaker wants to beat its record of 911,597 F-Series trucks sold in 2001.
